Grow your Movember moustaches with StorTown this November

The Movember Foundation is the leading global organisation dedicated to changing the face of men’s health. Movember is an annual event that takes place during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health related issues. These issues include testicular cancer, prostate cancer and mental health problems…by encouraging men to grow moustaches, the organisation hopes to trigger conversation and raise the vital funds needed for its men’s health programs. Men around the world take action by signing up with a clean-shaven face and then grow a moustache throughout the thirty days of November. The magnificent Movember men that take part have been nicknamed “Mo Bros” and they effectively become walking advertisements for the month.

This initiative originated in Australia back in 2003 and has, to date recorded over 4 million moustaches that have been grown worldwide. It is rather ironic that the idea for Movember actually started with a conversation between a group of guys and today it is conversation that is central to achieving the initiatives goals! That one conversation that took place eleven years ago has grown into billions of conversations taking place around the world! Word of mouth and the internet have contributed to making this campaign a globally recognised one.

StorTown is challenging YOU to take part in our Movember campaign to help raise funds and awareness for the fight against prostate cancer. For every like on our StorTown Facebook Page plus share of the Movember post during the month of November, we will donate R5 to The Cancer Association of South Africa. So come along and help us raise awareness for this fantastic initiative!
