We believe in giving back to our community and we support charities that strive to do the same. Charities like the SPCA that work tirelessly to protect and care for injured, lost, and distressed animals.
Donation of storage space…
That’s why we’re proud to report that we’ve donated free storage space for the next four months to the Kloof and Highway SPCA. This storage space will be used to store stock and shop fittings used by the SPCA in their fundraising initiatives. The storage space is coming at a welcome time as the SPCA did not have a secure storage space for these important items.
Can you help?
The Kloof and Highway SPCA provides services to a very large community, from the Westville boundary to Cato Ridge. It does not benefit from government funding and so the task of generating sufficient income to do their work remains a major challenge. Especially since, sadly, the demand for their services escalates every year.
This means they rely heavily on donations and the support and input of community members and volunteers. To help out, you can donate second-hand items and clothes, or give of your time to this worthy cause. No matter how small, every contribution makes a difference to the lives of the animals in the SPCA’s care. In the words of Manager Barbara Patrick, “Our SPCA is your SPCA and we trust that you will continue to support the many animals that come into our care every month as well as the many animals we reach out to through our outreach clinics.”
